MATURE: Make no mistake about it; Casper is ten years old. But circumstances have forced her to grow into the adult world, and she acts it. She's not going to be spouting deep observations about the state of the socio-political sphere of their surroundings any time soon, and nor is she going to be sitting down and engaging in deep philosophical discussions about the human psyche, but the kid knows when to sit up and shut up, and has the common sense not to get herself compromised. Even if she isn't too clear on what the word 'compromised' means yet.
SELF CONSCIOUS: Perhaps as part of that heightened self awareness that comes with maturity, Casper's developed a little bit of a complex about the way she acts and the way people respond to her. She is easily nervous, even if she tries not to let is show, and falters around people she's not familiar with.
PERCEPTIVE: Casper's got a sharp eye; she notices the little details, and keeps track of them. Granted, she might not know what all those little bits and bobs mean, or what they do, but she knows they're there, and that must count for something, right? This goes for people and individuals as well. It might not be on purpose, but Casper is very good at reading the atmosphere, and adapting herself to it.
ADAPTIVE: If plan A doesn't work, there's always a plan B, even if plan B is more often than not improvised on the spot. Casper isn't too fussed about the methods most of the time. If she feels uncomfortable in a situation, she'll look for a way to get herself out. Casper is very rarely in a corner -- she always leaves herself with a couple of options, or, if not, finds them. Those might not, upon contemplation, be particularly feasible options, but it's worked out so far for the kid.
HEADSTRONG: There is always the pressing desire for Casper to prove herself. That she's not dead weight; that's she not only a kid who piggybacks off the efforts of other people. She's young; she doesn't think through consequences fully. Sometimes she rushes in without thinking. Most of all, she wants to be recognized as capable.
ERRATIC: A lot of the time, Casper's unpredictable. There are gaps in her paperwork (some of it has disappeared entirely), in her behaviour, and in her memory. Sometimes she does things so completely out of the left field that she surprises even herself. It's probably triggered by something, but nobody knows what exactly those triggers are yet.
WITHDRAWN: She might act otherwise, and she might not even be doing it on purpose, but Casper keeps most people at arms length; slow to trust. She keeps to herself, and tries not to bother other people with her problems, which leads to all sorts of interesting situations when she happens to get stuck in a mess on her own.

The first thing most people would notice about Casper is that he's around ten years old, harmless, and actually kind of an endearing boy. They'd only be right about one thing. However, these preconceptions about her are what Casper uses, consciously or not, to her advantage. She puts on facades and acts as easily as she'd swap her hat, and wouldn't blink twice at telling a bald faced lie. She can put on accents, impersonations; the lot. And because she's ten years old people wouldn't think too much of it if her French accent had a bit of a lisp that wasn't supposed to be there, or if there were some small gaps in her story.

And since she's small, she can disappear easily. Into crowds, into nooks, and into crannies. It's very hard to find her once she disappears from a pursuer's line of sight, and with access to alleys and back-doors that people twice her size don't even consider, it's almost an unfair advantage that Casper's not even four feet, and skinny as a twig.

On the other hand, Casper's not even four feet, and is about as threatening as a leaf. A straight on brawl'd be a bit of a joke, not to mention painfully one sided. She's also ten, and even though as ten year olds go, she's pretty formidable, the danger of being led by a stranger with the promise of candy into a white van is still present and looming.

......BACKGROUND>>

For all intents and purposes, Casper appears to be an orphan, and has since looked to figures in the upper echelons of the Robber organization as parental figures. It's a bit of a question mark how exactly she ended up in the organization, but it's generally assumed that she found them like most entry-level recruits; a bit of luck, and bit of talent, and being in the right place at the right time.

In Casper's case, it was probably more a case of the right place at the wrong time, but that's getting a little bit caught up in the details. From her education, and articulation, it's able to be assumed that she came from a reasonably well off family, or at least one that valued education, and she didn't just happen to grow up on the streets, although what happened in between that and entrance into the Robbers is generally a mystery.

Casper actually doesn't remember much of the event herself; time had turned much of the details into a blur, and some part of her doesn't really want to recall what happened. She'd been involved in an 'accident' in which Seven had a hand in, and was subsequently separated from the rest of her family. The masked criminal probably felt sorry for the child fenced in by burning rubble and flames when he swooped in to tuck her under one arm to safety.

And the rest was history.

Casper's able to get into places -- high security areas, parties, locked up homes -- and get away with it reasonably scot free. Bonus points if it's an area that a kid has reasonable excuse to get lost in. She knows only the rudimentary of hacking, but of course that's not her job, and her finesse with a lockpick is usually more than enough to break her into a lot of locations, and the rest, well, she can wing it. But that's not where her real advantage lies.

Casper is frighteningly good at impersonation. No, not that schoolyard let's-make-fun-of-people-we-don't-like kind of impersonation, but genuinely stepping into a role that's not her. Her largest, and only, limitation is her physical appearance.
